We are a US-based nonprofit organization, recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. Established in 2023, Green Fund Initiative is dedicated to fostering resilience and vitality in communities facing the urgent challenges of climate change and environmental degradation. We are committed to conserving and restoring ecosystems, safeguarding birds, wildlife, and forests for future generations.
Through partnerships with local organizations in the global south, we empower communities to define their own problems and solutions to combat climate change at the local level. Simultaneously, we mobilize community members for the conservation, protection, and sustainable management of natural resources and wildlife.

STRATEGY
GFI advocates a participatory, bottom-up approach to development, engaging local communities in initiatives designed for their benefit. We prioritize sustainability and success by involving locals in decision-making and partnering with community-based organizations. Our Projects follow a four-stage process: research, design, implementation, and evaluation, with active participation of relevant local stakeholders at each stage.
