To raise funds to implement small and medium scale community level projects to develop adaptation solutions and to respond to current and future climate change impacts on the community inhabitants living in the areas.
GFI has always been a promoter of a bottom-up approach to development which is participatory in nature. We seek to engage local populations in development initiatives to make them a part of the initiatives designed for their benefit. By including them in the process, the projects would be more sustainable and successful. GFI will implement the project through creating partnerships with local/community-based organizations in the project areas and the local people will be included in the decision-making process. Project issues will be divided into four broad stages, including the research stage, design stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage. Local-level relevant stakeholders’ participation will be ensured in every stage of the project.
